A Land Beyond the Clouds

In July 2017, I traveled to Leh Ladakh, where I had the privilege of capturing its striking landscapes and vibrant culture through black and white film. The vast, rugged terrain, ancient monasteries, and remote villages provided a perfect backdrop for my work, but it was the people who truly brought the region to life. From the serene faces of the monks to the resilient, welcoming locals, their stories unfolded in every frame. The monochrome medium allowed me to focus on the textures of their lives. The creases of their faces, the fabric of their clothes, and the play of light and shadow that revealed the quiet strength of this incredible place.
